"My coat's fine! They were wet before," Pearl says, a hint of plaintiveness in her voice. She thinks she probably sounds a little like a child -- feels like one, too, the way Rose is fussing over her, and can't say she doesn't like it. She meekly allows herself to be turned just so, peeled out of her scarves and coat.

She's already down on one knee, unlacing her boots, when Rose tells her to get undressed. Says it so lightly that Pearl isn't entirely sure that's what she said. Lightly, as if taking off your clothes upon entering someone's home is a perfectly normal thing to do. Pearl is cold and filthy, and they have been dating (or whatever it is they're doing) for a while, so maybe it is? Normal, that is. It's hard for her to tell what's normal with Rose sometimes. (Or in general, really.) Rose is never shy about asking for these things, is she? Not that Rose is asking for...! She's merely trying to keep her apartment neat and clean: an entirely reasonable motivation.

She can't stop her thought process from skittering in that tight circle for a moment, nervously chewing its own tail as she tugs at her laces. Finally she casts her eyes towards the hallway. "Garnet's...uhh...not home?"
